John C. Crow

A rare "Chameleon" actor, John shines both as the antagonist as well as the comic relief. He is commonly compared to a young Christopher Walken.

In front of his graduating class of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts,  Fiona Shaw gripped his
hand tightly and proclaimed:  "This is a REAL actor!"

Notable roles and projects include:

The grand prize winner of the Phillips Tell It Your Way short film competition, hand picked by Riddley Scott.

Winner of the 2012 Tisch West Web series Showcase. Featuring John C. Crow as "Jay" from THE GREAT GATSBY

Winner of Seven awards including the Spirit Award at the Brooklyn International Short Competition.

Movement Artist
John's movement skills were featured in the Call of Duty: Zombie Lab commercial for which he landed the cover of Adweek.

Dancer He is currently a member of the Adam Basma Dance Company, specializing in Lebanese Debke Line Dance.

Stand Up Comedian
John "stays sharp" by performing original material at famous comedy clubs such as:  The Comedy Store, Downtown Comedy Club and more.

Writer

Benjamin Keepers - Lead role in "Fragile World"

Congratulations to Benjamin Keepers - Actor/Writer/Filmmaker who has the lead role as August in "Fragile World" by Finch Hollow Productions.  Ben's character August, is the love interest in the film and sweet, handsome, charismatic Keepers is perfect for the role! Yes, I"m going to say it, he truly is a "keeper".

Directed by  Lisa Lambert who produced "We Need to Talk About Kevin" (2011), with Tilda Swinton and John C. Reilly and executive producer for "Giallo" (2009) with Andrien Brody.  She also co-produced "Leaving Limbo", currently in post production.

Sandy Boikian who wrote, directed and produced "Leaving Limbo" will also be directing "Fragile World".  More to come as the film progresses.  I can't wait to see Ben in it!

"Peter Bohush has been hired as cinematographer on the feature film, “Fragile World.” The faith-based movie, to be directed by Sandy Boikian, centers on a young woman trying to get her life back together after a personal tragedy,  who encounters various people who may or may not be real.

The movie begins principal photography in late May 2012 and shoots in and around Los Angeles."-Finch Hollow Productions

NEW Art by Seleus Blelis

Here are a couple of beautiful new pieces by Seleus Blelis (Selly).  The lovely Clara Glow below, so irresistibly inviting.  It really draws you in!  I couldn't help adding the wonderful late great Whitney Houston's "Run To You" above Clara cause I happened to be listening to it on my play list when I was writing this blog so...hope it works.  Was going to put it beneath Clara but didn't feel right putting Whitney beneath anyone.

Beneath that, Fifty Shades of Grey-Her digital portrait of actor Ian Somerhalder as Christian Grey (from Vampire Diaries), c'mon even "I" knew that.  He's hot and I love the way she captures that "tude" he's   always got going on.  Not that he needs to cause....he's a vampire!

I love them and I hope you do too!

PORCELAIN UNICORN

John C. Crow as Nazi Soldier #2 in "Porcelain Unicorn"

This is a beautiful 3 minute short film!  John, is in it for a second, but it's a very intimidating second.  The film is very heartfelt and I love the title.  It was the Grand Prize Award winner at the 2011 Post-Cannes Phillips Film Festival.  Per DrSAger-IMDb, "the rules for the entrants to the contest were: 1)The film could be no more than three minutes long. 2) It could have only six lines of dialog.  The chief judge, if I'm not mistaken, was Ridley Scott."  Pretty cool, right?

It was written and directed by Keegan Wilcox, Keegan Wilcox-IMDb who produced 9 titles including "The Action Hero's Guide to Saving Lives" with one of my personal hero's, Patrick Warburton.  Keegan was also involved in "Crank", one of my favorite action movies and yes, I own the soundtrack.  His next production is "Hit List" due to be released Nov 2012 Hit List-IMDb

Please check out this beautiful film!

MALCOLM HOLMES!

So I'm walking down the street to go to Wacko here in LA, and I see my friend's son Malcolm starting a chalk drawing on the sidewalk.  I stopped and said hi, "Wow that looks great."  Not really thinking much of it probably totally forgot that somebody told me he was a great artist.  I come back from Wacko and he had gotten further in his drawing and I so could not get over how good he is.  I'm gonna take pictures of much more of his art as soon as possible so I can share.  Thank you so much Malcolm!  Enjoy!

Jonah Butler...funny / interesting / drummer guy

i know my place, but it don't know me.”-Jonah Butler

It's so rare that I run into people who write stuff I like or write the way I like, or who I think are interesting and funny.  Probably because I'm not well read.  One of my favorite writers of all time is a Landscape Supervisor named Doug.  He wrote letters to his customer's about their landscaping issues and why they were so stupid.  But after you read the letter, even though you knew in your head he was putting them down and giving them shit, it sounded like he was in love with them.   It made no sense!  Plus we loved him because it was the years when Farside was real big and a lot of the cartoons were about "Doug.

Is there a point to all of this?  Yes!  This is why I like the stuff Jonah writes.  Very original!   Like his quote above, love it!  Damn I hope he wasn't quoting somebody else.  In any case it sounds like something he would say.
